Early Spiritforged New Decks to Play

The Spiritforged set introduces 12 new Legends to the Riftbound card game, shaking up the meta and adding a wide range of new tools that give players more room for deck building. Equipment, in particular, is set to drastically change how the game is played and will become a core piece of many meta decks going forward.
Spiritforged is still in its early days in the Chinese meta, so decklists aren’t fully polished yet as players continue to experiment and refine their builds. Everyone is still figuring out which decks rise to the top and what the optimal versions look like. Today, I’ll be sharing early Spiritforged Legend decks lists that either performed well in tournaments or were created by well-known community figures and show a lot of promise.

We’ll kick things off with an Ezreal deck shared by Aikado! Let’s first talk about the Legend. If you’ve chosen enemy units and/or gear twice in one turn, you can tap Ezreal Prodigal Explorer to get a card draw. So, he’s basically a draw engine, making sure you don’t run out of resources in the late game.
This list is full of low-cost cards to play, as your goal is to hold a battlefield in the early stages of the game and rely on cards like Gust, Fight or Flight, and Rebuke to prevent the opposing player from conquering a battlefield. This makes it harder for them to keep up with you in the early to mid-game, and with your multiple value cards like Fizz Trickster and Ezreal Prodigy, you’ll always have plays to make as the game stretches out.
We’re discarding a lot in this deck, which makes Rhasa the Sunderer a solid inclusion. We can easily play him for less than 2 runes, developing a 6 Might body to help us hold a battlefield or even conquer it.
Thousand-Tailed Watcher is how we win the late game, developing a 7 Might unit with Accelerate that gives -3 Might reduction to all of the opponent’s units can be just enough to win us two battlefields and close out the game.

The Red Purple Draven Glorious Executioner loves engaging in combats and winning them, drawing you a card whenever you do so. The list has Kai'Sa Survivor and Darius Trifarian for aggressive turns, as they can attack on the turn they’re played. This makes it easier for you to start a combat when your opponent doesn’t have the resources to defend, scoring you points and activating your Leader’s ability to draw more cards.
Spinning Axe is the key reason why this deck is so strong, letting you attach it at a unit Reaction speed with Quick-Draw, giving you a boost in aggression when going for an attack.
Draven Vanquisher‘s +2 Might boost makes a high Might attacker/defender, overpowering the opposing player, and forcing them to expend more resources to keep up with him.
Draven Audacious is a double edged sword. The first time you win a combat with him, he scores you an additional point, which basically wins you the game if you’re at 6 Points. However, if he dies in combat, your opponent gets to score a point.

By exhausting and recycling 1 rune, Irelia Blade Dancer lets you Ready one of your units, allowing you to attack with that unit immediately to potentially conquer a battlefield. If you do conquer a battlefield, you can pay 1 Energy to Ready your Legend, which means we can reactivate her ability to ready a unit. This is perfect for unleashing multiple attacks in one turn and threatening to conquer both battlefields.
This list ended up 3rd in the Suzhou City Challenge, relying on Irelia Fervent and Draven Audacious to attack and conquer a battlefield. With Boots of Swiftness, we can give our unit the Ganking keyword, enabling it to attack another battlefield after we ready it with our Legend.
The Irelia deck has multiple defensive spells to protect your units from getting killed. Cards like Defiant Dance and Not So Fast can make it harder for the opposing player to remove your units and prevent you from scoring points. Even if killed, Zhonya's Hourglass and Guardian Angel will keep them in play, making sure we don’t lose our win conditions.

Fiora Grand Duelist is a ramp Legend, letting you exhaust her to gain 1 exhausted Rune whenever one of your units becomes Mighty. This means the goal of this deck is to play units with 4 Might or less and boost their power up to 5 or more, turning them Mighty and allowing you to activate your Legends ability to gain an exhausted rune.
The exhausted rune you gain sets up for stronger future turns, letting you make more plays and mitigating any rune recycling you’re doing when you attach equipment. The list runs multiple equipment cards like Doran's Blade and B.F. Sword, which will be the main way we boost our units’ Might to turn them Mighty.
We are running Weaponmaster units to dodge the cost of attaching equipment. We have champions Lucian Merciless, Akshan Mischievous, Jax Unrelenting all with unique abilities. Lucian can set up an aggressive turn, Jax draws you cards, and Akshan can steal the opponent’s gear to mess up their strategy.
Fiora Worthy synergizes with your Mighty units, letting you recycle an order run to ready a unit that just became Mighty, allowing you to attack with it on the turn it’s played or go for multiple moves.

The more mechs you run, the stronger Rumble Mechanized Menace‘s ability becomes. Your goal with this deck is to conquer battlefields as early as possible with your Mechs and rely on your Legend giving them the Shield keyword whenever your opponent attacks, making it harder for them to conquer it back. The more Mechs you have on a battlefield, the more value you’ll get out of your Legend’s ability.
Gem Jammer, Forecaster, and Ferrous Forerunner are a couple of the Mechs we run in this deck that we’ll rely on to conquer a battlefield and hold it. Rumble Hotheaded gives your Mech units the Assault keywords, turning them into aggressors to unleash stronger attacks. He can also recycle one of your units to cheat out a Mech unit from your trash, basically gaining value out of his ability.
As for Rumble Scrapper, he gives all your Mech units, including himself, a +1 Might boost. This makes it even harder for the opposing player to deal with your Mechs, and if you manage to hold with him, you can play a 3 Might Mech token to your base, further increasing your board presence.

Azir Emperor of the Sands is ready to command the Sand Soldiers! All your Sand Soldiers have the Weaponmaster keyword, which makes it easier for us to attach equipment to them. When you play an equipment, you may exhaust your Legend and pay 1 Energy to play a 2 Might Sand Soldier.
The Sand Soldiers will be a core part of this deck, as you’ll be attaching equipment to them and having them attack and conquer battlefields. Azir Sovereign has the Accelerate keyword, so he can join Ready and go for an immediate attack. He also lets you move any number of Token units to the battlefield he’s attacking, creating an even stronger attack since you can move exhausted Sand Soldiers.
The more equipment you have in play, the stronger Arise! becomes. It plays a 2 Might Sand Soldier for every Equipment you have in play, and you get to ready two of them to help you conquer a battlefield.

Ornn Fire Below the Mountain gives you 1 Power to use for playing a gear or using gear abilities, making sure you don’t slow down your upcoming turns by recycling runes.
Different Ornn lists are being played in tournaments; this one uses Ezreal Dashing for his ability to deal damage equal to his Might whenever he attacks or defends to an opponent’s unit. This means if we boost Ezreal’s Might with equipment, he gets to deal even more damage with his ability, before the opposing player gets to deal combat damage with their units. Since Ezreal can’t deal combat damage, we’re heavily relying on his ability to clear things, and this is where equipment like Svellsongur and Rabadon's Deathcrown make a great combo with Ezreal. Svellsongur in particular lets you activate Ezreal’s ability twice, potentially killing two of the opponent’s units at a battlefield.
Ornn Forge God becomes a massive body in the late-game, gaining +1 Might for each friendly gear in play. The Deflect 2 can also be troublesome for the opposing player, making them think twice before targeting your Ornn.

Lucian Purifier synergizes with equipment cards, giving the unit equipped the Assault keyword. This is adding a +1 Might to your attackers, setting up stronger attacks to conquer a battlefield.
Naturally, we’ll be running a lot of equipment to get the most out of our Legend’s ability. Lucian Merciless is perfect to attach those equipment to and turn him into a major threat when he goes for the attack.

Rek'Sai Void Burrower wants you to conquer a battlefield to activate her ability, letting you look at the top cards of your main deck, play one, and recycle the rest. This means when building the deck, we want to include a lot of low-cost cards so we can get value out of our Legend’s ability as early as possible.
Your Legend isn’t the only method to play cards from your main deck. Rek'Sai Swarm Queen has a similar ability when it goes for the attack, generating value for us, and can create a powerful attack turn if you play a unit from the top two cards of your deck.
Rek'Sai Breacher and Undertitan synergize with your ability to look at the top 2 cards and play units. If Undertitan is one of the cards revealed, you get to ready 2 of your Energy, allowing you to make more meaningful plays.
As for the Rek'Sai Breacher, she gives the Accelerate keyword for units played from anywhere other than your hand. So anything played from the top of your deck will have the Accelerate keyword, capable of attacking immediately on the turn they’re played.

Savjz shared this Jax list on Twitter. It runs only 1 copy of Jax Unrelenting, and opts out the Jax Unmatched. Jax Grandmaster at Arms lets you go all out with your equipment, letting you equip your equipment through your Legend ability, even if they’re attached to another unit.
Jax Unrelenting, Qiyana Victorious, and Stellacorn Herder can all draw you a card through their ability, so you’re not easily running out of resources. The deck values its units, attaching your equipment alongside the multiple defensive spells you have at your disposal, it can be a tough task for the opposing player to kill your units.
